Belton Transmission is happy to be a 2023 dropoff location for Toys for Tots, a program run by the United States Marine Corp. Toys for Tots’ main objective is to make America’s underprivileged kids feel hopeful and happy by giving them a brand-new toy for Christmas.
October marked the start of local toy collection efforts, which run until mid December. Distribution of toys will occur in mid to late December. Community members may place brand-new, unopened toys in the collection bin located at Belton Transmission. These toys are gathered by coordinators and kept in central warehouses where they are organized by gender and age. At Christmas, Coordinators give the toys to economically disadvantaged children in the community with help from religious groups, social welfare agencies, and other local community organizations.
